a bit about me
hi, i’m amee: writer, artist, brand voice whisperer, and the heart behind the honeytone edit. i live in a tiny cottage tucked in the ozarks with my best friend, two dogs, and two cats, where the days are filled with good food, deep thoughts, and creative exploration.

i started this studio because i'm passionate about language and the critical role it plays in how we see ourselves, each other, and the world. i believe branding isn’t about shouting louder, it’s about speaking clearly. the right words can turn a business into a presence that feels human, connected, and deeply aligned.

my background is a mix of psychology, philosophy, and years in technical business operations - organizing chaos, refining systems, and helping teams work smarter. now, i bring that same clarity and care to small businesses looking to find (or rediscover) their voice.

if you’ve got something real to say and want to say it well, i'm your girl.
work experience
globalplatform operations manager
alliances management
operations coordinator → immigration / ops support
smartbridge
legal admin assistant
johnson law group
ran a worldwide tech‑standards program, untangled cross‑border workflows, and kept 120+ member companies on the same page; proof i can wrangle big ideas into neat sentences.
turned a spaghetti bowl of processes into a single streamlined noodle; automated docs, coached multicultural teams, and freed consultants to focus on clients. i still use those efficiency hacks when i audit brand voice.
learned to spot a typo at twenty paces and type 111 wpm with 99 % accuracy - handy when every misplaced comma changes a message’s meaning.
education
bachelor of science psychology & philosophy
university of houston
i earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy from the university of houston, where i learned how people think, why they act the way they do, and how to ask better questions. studying these two fields together gave me a strong foundation in critical thinking, human behavior, and clear communication - all skills i use daily as a writer and strategist.
throughout my time there, i juggled multiple jobs while maintaining strong academic performance, and completed independent research projects that deepened my understanding of motivation, identity, and meaning-making. it was also where i first discovered my love for turning abstract ideas into language people can actually feel.
what all that means for the honeytone edit
psychology degree → audience intuition
program management → project harmony
process optimization → brand clarity
i don’t just ask “what do we say?” i ask “why will they care?” then craft language that lands.
deadlines, deliverables, stakeholder wrangling - your copy projects move like clockwork because i’ve managed far messier ones.
if i can blueprint an entire company’s workflows, i can definitely untangle the story in your head and make it sing on a screen.
